M. Oliver poem

This is part of the last line of the poem by Mary Oliver, "The Summer Day". I was lucky enough to be introduced to her poetry from Nadia C who unintentionally brought about poetry within me!

It's a take off from this piece on Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/284993482658324461/

Used my Horizon nib and white India ink and then I filled in some of the neg. spaces with my own musings, block print.

I have SO many other ideas for this and can't wait to share!

(Full line, "Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?")

*Here's another piece i tried but it didn't work out (however, other one's did.)

I think I need to use a smaller nib. I tried to connect every letter and still have the quote a bit "readable". (see sketch below)

Then I tried to fill in some neg. spaces with my musings. Doesn't look good. Maybe will be better if I add color?

Nope. Maybe it needs color within the words, not the counters.
