Decorated env.

Made this env. in 2020, then decided to send to a new exchanger for a V-day theme last year.

Used my folded pen for the design. B/c of the porous paper, the ink bled, but i touched up and added other elements.

Used pointed pen and India ink for her name. Added white & gold accents.

At first, I did the zip in white India ink, but didn't like how the numbers looked, so I made a design over it, and printed new ones below.

Back side. (I think I used a pointed brush for the designs.)

with insert

Used my pointed Pentel brush and flair pen (again, could use folded pen), and although I love how the ink bleeds with water, it can get out of control!  (esp. when I touch up and repeat)

V-Day to Cathy (2019)

Flashback Friday:
I decorated the sheet of paper first, b/4 making it into an env. Used metallic gold ink and red accents. I think I used red gouache for her name.

The card was a messy accident. Decided to turn into a Vday piece as there were some parts that looked like hearts.

Very happy with how my pointed pen turned out.

Flip side. No idea on the stamp.

(past) Valentines!

Some V-Day creations over the years...

From early 2020. Was trying to emulate something I saw either in a book or online. (will update if I find original)
Not bad, but next time, will make the "l" taller and the tail better on the "e".

*Update:  Actually, redid this for my Pers. Redo's Challenge last fall:

A bit of a "happy accident" with this one! A practice piece I did for an IG lettering challenge, and i love how it turned out...up to the n. Love my V and l/e ligature, but from the n on....no. So, I redid for the Jan. Progress Lett. Chall:

I also redid with marker (for my upcoming 100 Days of Markers Challenge):

I know... not a folded pen, BUT gestural/expressive lettering! (Maybe I should change the name of this blog.) Update: I actually did, in early 2023.  :)

Although i did this with a pointed brush, you could easily redo with a folded pen.
Made these rainbow hearts specifically for Leanne, who loves rainbows. 2021

Looks like I tried to emulate the lettering above! (not very well though). 2021

And more hearts:
