Testing Markers

I love going to Dollar Tree. You never know what you'll find! I've got fun pens there as well as some great sketchbooks with awesome paper.

The other day, I got these markers, just for fun (as some of my old ones are drying out).

Here is a testing video...

I love the tapered end, but it got easily worn.

And sadly, not waterproof.

a little Magic...

I'm working on a little project, and this is a new piece I created for it.

It's an accidental technique of mine I love... Use white pearlescent acrylic ink as the base, then color over with marker.

It first happened in 2021, and I think it came about from some scratch paper sketches. I was using marker and accidentally colored over some of the ink, and thought it fun. So I did an env. for both Janet and Jean.

Not sure yet what I plan to letter under, but i like how it's looking so far!

You can kind of make out a script alpha, then upside down is "Cheers" with Crayola gel markers.

Every year I forget about this, then I scramble to create something at the last minute.

But I LOVE how this turned out!!

Another "Do What you Think..."

I did this background last year, and was just playing. Finally decided to add lettering and make into an insert.
