Book Art (for Writing Room)

My oldest has officially moved out (he just needs to gather all his books...which is a LOT)

And I'm taking over his room and making it into a writing "sanctuary" for moi!!

I've been so excited to convert his room and have been slowly creating book-themed artwork. I have SO many ideas and cannot wait to share the finished area!

But for now...

I altered this quote and thought it apt to letter on the Acknowledgements page!

And although it doesn't look it, I did do my i!  ;)

This canvas is something that's been sitting in my art room for a while as at first, I tried creating something for our bedroom. But I decided to use it for my writing room.

I first lettered in script an original poem about me being/becoming a writer (metallic ink and a ruling pen)

After, I lettered "i am a writer" with a big homemade folded pen and India ink.

and then, I took some parts of the poem and some other quotes/musings and adhered throughout the piece.

Am hoping to finish this up soon!
