I'm having so much fun with Julie's (Wildman) online classes! These are a few pieces from Make Your Mark. (more to come)
Although they don't look that impressive (these are unfinished), it's still fun experimenting with diff. techniques.
Top piece (black marks) was illustrating the words, "Blaze/ Inferno". (Instead of black ink, I used puff paint.)
Bottom piece was done by first laying a wash of walnut ink, then scoring into the wet paper, using an embossing tool (or whatever you wanted to use for scoring). Then, we'd remove/lift some of the ink, and/or darken in other areas.
Same idea with diff. marks
Can't wait to try this with colorful watercolors!
And again, diff. marks with walnut ink first (vs. a wash), and more scoring.
Love this one. Higgins Eternal ink and a music nib for scoring.
Will update when/if I create something with these!
