More Imagine pieces.

These are older pieces (from 2019), but still fun, and ones I used for the first few postings of my IG 40 Days of Imagine Challenge.

40 Days of Imagine.

In April of 2020, I did nearly a month of various Gratitude posts for my IG account. That sparked me to do this next challenge: 40 Days of Imagine, ending on Dec. 8 (which is the 40th anniversary of John Lennon's death, and he was 40 years old at the time).

Here are some faves using various folded pens:

Love this one.

my lyrics didn't turn out well for this. #redo !

Didn't post but still like. Missing something.

Sketch piece.

Another sketch.

Love this sketch. See final piece below:

Another simple one.

This almost looks like "magic".

And just for fun, a snail mail piece.
If I could redo, I'd letter the lyrics diagonally, leaving space for name and address.

Imagine to Janet

I actually created this card (blank) and env. years ago, but didn't know what to do with it.

So, for my 40 Days of Imagine, I decided to make it into a theme for Janet, since I had some Lennon stamps.

"imagine" on the blue part is in bleach.
Background lyrics are with pointed pen and gouache, with an overlay of blue using a folded pen.

Blank env.

Close up.

Abstract design, Clear env.

this insert was a piece i originally tried to do as an abstract bicycle. Didn't like how it was turning out, so I made it into a card for a clear env. (from 11/2020)

I feel like I struggle with Leanne's name, so it seems like it turns out the same every time I use my folded pens. Looks nice here, but i think i need to experiment more.

Backside. These abstract pieces work best when lettering the address, etc. small, otherwise it looks like the name is trying to compete with the design.

B-day Candles

Having fun with strokes, etc. to make a b-day card.
You can barely see the flames.

Used my Horizon folded nib.
