script alpha to Leanne

Wanted to do an alpha exemplar, making the "hi" different/stand out, to say, "hi leanne!", but it's kind of hard to make out.

Although you can use almost any pen to make script/gestural lettering, i always reach for one of my folded pens.

Darn ink bled on the env. so I had to do some splatters, etc. to cover up the mess.

Happy 2021

Was just playing but like how it turned out.

Pointed pen and walnut ink sketch. (And of course, I lettered it on scratch paper!) 😏

New Year's (2019)

This was a bit of a fun one. Lettered on Bond paper, and filled in with metallic watercolors.

Cmas Tree (calligram), 2019

Another piece where I was thrilled at how it turned out at the time, but now I want to redo,

I still like it a lot, but not sure what is bothering me.

Before adding more red/splatters ("lights").

Funky Cmas Tree

Saw this gouache on IG and had to get!

Used my RW and metallic acrylic ink for the tree.

More Imagine pieces.

These are older pieces (from 2019), but still fun, and ones I used for the first few postings of my IG 40 Days of Imagine Challenge.

40 Days of Imagine.

In April of 2020, I did nearly a month of various Gratitude posts for my IG account. That sparked me to do this next challenge: 40 Days of Imagine, ending on Dec. 8 (which is the 40th anniversary of John Lennon's death, and he was 40 years old at the time).

Here are some faves using various folded pens:

Love this one.

my lyrics didn't turn out well for this. #redo !

Didn't post but still like. Missing something.

Sketch piece.

Another sketch.

Love this sketch. See final piece below:

Another simple one.

This almost looks like "magic".

And just for fun, a snail mail piece.
If I could redo, I'd letter the lyrics diagonally, leaving space for name and address.
