Oops! piece ("Mistake" quote)

Recently, I came upon this lovely little nib (Esterbrook Radio 942) and I'm obsessed!

It's so great for tiny italic lettering, and makes wonderful crisp lines.

I love this quote, and did an "altered" take on it, with the "Oops!"

(white India ink, and puff paint for the 3d lettering. Strathmore paper.)

The one on the left is from my 100 Days of Markers Challenge in 2022. I'm not quite ready to part with it just yet, so I redid it for a snail mail insert.

New Brody Pen (Om Mani Padme)

The 2nd and 3rd pieces (on the mauve color paper) are my first attempt at this saying (Om Mani Padme Hum -- a meditation chant). Was a Pinspo piece but I cannot find original! will update if I can.

The top piece is a redo using my new Brody pen!

I really love how this turned out, except I lettered the "om" as "oh". Grrr! So, I tried to fix, but it got messed up even more. Plus, I don't like the script lettering. Waaaa.

oh well. One for the healing journal!

 

New Pen!!! (Finally!)

I did it. I finally decided to take the plunge and treat myself to the Brody N folded pen!

I really didn't want to spend the money (I mean, REALLY), as this pen is nearly $100. I even felt guilty buying a new $50 Ruling Writer in 2021 (and my other one is nearly 30 years old!). But 1) I think I would feel weird asking for this as a gift, as even though my family would probably buy it for me, they might not understand why a pen costs this much, 2) I didn't want to wait for my bday or Cmas (both in December!) and 3) someone broke down the cost for me. It's less than $100, but let's just say it was $100...That's less than $10/month for 1 year. 

So, just to compare, my hubby runs, and his running shoes are nearly $100. He has to get a new pair every year. I've had my old $50 RW for nearly 30. 'Nuff said.

In just testing and playing with it just a few short times, I SO wish I had bought it sooner! LOVE.

I'm going to make sure I use this puppy EVERY day. #newfavetool

Bike Month!

It's Bike Month! So, here is a quote I did for Nele using my tiny 942 Esterbrook Radio nib.

I mounted with a bike piece, which I will share later on my Snail Mail blog.

But for now, I'm also sharing past works of abstract bicycles, using my RW.
